Privacy and email choices

Vacation to Owner is operated by Trevor Schaafsma in British Columbia, Canada. Trevor is accountable for the personal information handled through this website. Privacy questions, access requests, corrections, or deletion requests can be sent to [email protected] or through the Work With Me form.

Information you provide

When you join the list, request a checklist, ask for book or video updates, or send an advisory inquiry, the site collects your email address and may collect your name and message. It also records the form source, submission time, and the consent wording version shown with the form.

Website analytics

Cloudflare provides cookie-free page-performance measurement so problems such as slow loading can be found. Cloudflare states that this beacon collects minimum timing metrics, does not collect or use visitors’ personal data, and does not track individuals across customer websites. It is separate from Google Analytics.

Google Analytics runs when you visit the site. It may collect a first-party client identifier, page and interaction events, session information, approximate location, and browser or device information. Form names, email addresses, and message text are not sent to Google Analytics.

How the information is used

• Provide the checklist or update you requested.
• Send occasional Vacation to Owner book, article, video, or practical ownership updates when you have agreed to receive them.
• Respond to advisory inquiries.
• Measure page performance through Cloudflare and understand which pages and resources are useful through Google Analytics.
• Protect the forms and website from abuse.

Service providers and sharing

Cloudflare hosts the website and its signup database, provides cookie-free Web Analytics performance measurement, and uses Turnstile to check form submissions for abuse. Turnstile may process browser, interaction, network, and security information for that purpose. Google provides Analytics. These providers may process information outside Canada under their own service and privacy terms. Vacation to Owner does not sell or rent personal information.

The checklist starter pack is delivered as an immediate browser download after signup. Until a bulk email provider is connected, requested follow-ups are sent manually from the dedicated Vacation to Owner Gmail account; no recurring bulk campaign is running. This page will identify the provider before recurring delivery begins.

Retention and safeguards

Signup information is kept while it is needed to provide requested communications, maintain consent records, or meet reasonable legal and operational requirements. Advisory messages are kept only as long as reasonably needed to respond and maintain appropriate records. Reasonable technical and organizational safeguards are used, but no internet service can promise absolute security.

Your choices

You may use browser privacy controls to limit analytics storage. Commercial emails will identify the sender and explain how to unsubscribe. You may withdraw email consent by replying to an update or emailing [email protected]. You may ask to access, correct, or delete personal information through the same address or the Work With Me form. A deliberate new signup after an unsubscribe is treated as new consent and recorded with its date and source.

Changes

This page will be updated when practices or providers materially change. Significant new uses of personal information will not be treated as covered by an older consent.
